Fast-Forward to 2026 ...

It's now November 4th, 2026, and while looking for photos of my work to put into a file I came across this blog, which I had completely forgotten about.  Bitter-sweet. Bitter-sweet because my sister passed away this past May.  There once was five of us, and now there's just me.  Brother Timmy, the oldest, sister Carole was next, then Jeannie, then me, and lastly my little sister (10 years younger) Bonnie, who was the first to leave us at the young age of 40.

And so, I had never known life without my sister Jeannie, she was there when I was born. We shared all the joys and sorrows of a loving yet chaotic life on 94 Spring Street, West Haven, Connecticut, and then as we left home to raise families of our own we all still lived in the same area, except for brother Timmy.

I will search over whatever pictures I have in my hard drive and add some to this old blog. And I just saw that in December this blog format will change, and so this blog may go away, but I will send this to Jeannie's daughter Pati to see before that happens.

And so ends this small tribute to my sister Jeannie, who was my idol as a child, my mentor as a young woman, and my comfort as we traveled through life's twists and turns together.  As the last one of a family of seven to leave planet Earth some time in the foreseeable future, I look forward to being in her presence again, in a heavenly place of peace, love and beauty, and to be embraced by the family I was borne into and loved here on earth.
